Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to make a comeback with husband Abhishek in 'Happy Anniversary'

Real life couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan will be teaming up for producer Gaurang Doshi's Bollywood comeback venture 'Happy Anniversary'.

Gaurang, who produced Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampal-starrer 'Aankhen' in 2002 and 'Deewaar' (2004), also starring the senior Bachchan, is making a comeback with two Bollywood projects in pipeline.

First among them is 'Happy Anniversary', which he said was based on theme "anatomy of marriage", and will be directed by adman Prahlad Kakkar. The film will be Aishwarya's comeback to silver screen after the birth of her daughter Aaradhya.

Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan brought Surat, Gujarat, to a standstill on Saturday, after she arrived in the city for the inauguration of a Kalyan Jeweller's store.

Aishwarya Rai, who is a brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers, arrived in the city along with her 19-month-old daughter, Aaradhya, for the opening ceremony of the new showroom in Surat.       

Traffic was uncontrollable as the 39-year-old actress reached Ghod Dod Road in Surat. Thousands of fans had gathered around the venue to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood diva.

There were reports of Ash being approached for films with Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, but the actress isn't keen to divulge anything. "It is too early to talk about projects now. Nothing has been finalised yet," she said.
Otherwise, she has been too busy with baby Aaradhya and Ash doesn't like to term her hiatus as a 'break.' "I don't believe in comebacks. Actress Vidya Balan, known as the 'female hero' of Bollywood, has finally made her first appearance at the 66th Cannes Film Festival in French Riviera.

The actress was invited to join the Cannes Film Festival jury panel along with Nicole Kidman, Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.  
Vidya arrived at the Grand Hyatt Cannes Hotel Martinez on Tuesday on the eve of the opening of the International film festival.
Ever since it was reported that Vidya is one of the jury members, there were speculations on what the actress will wear for the event. And like always, Vidya stuck to her Indian attire.

‘Kahaani 2’ Vidya Balan

Sujoy Ghosh will start shooting for ‘Kahaani 2’ after the monsoon.

Ghosh-directed ‘Kahaani’ starred Vidya Balan in the lead role and the movie won two main Filmfare awards. While Ghosh was named the best director, Balan won the best actress trophy.

“As far as ‘Kahaani 2’ in concerned, it’s going to be post monsoon, as soon as Vidya finishes her other commitment. That’s when we start,” Ghosh said.

At a special ceremony in Mumbai, Bollywood actress  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan unveiled the new trophy with a gold base.She also received one of those trophies and the actress gushed that it was the first time that she had received the black lady, as the trophy is popularly known as, without being nominated for any film. It is also the first time that she does not figure in the nominations list as she is currently on a sabbatical.After almost 17 years in the glamour and film industry, the actress took a break from her busy schedule to give birth to her daughter Aaradhya, who turned one on November 16, 2012.

Aishwarya had received her first Filmfare award for her role of a Gujarati girl in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. The 39-year-old said that receiving that first award felt akin to holding an Oscar.
