The release of film Jodha Akbar starring Hritik Roshan and Aishwaryarai which was supposed to release on the 25th of January 2008, has been delayed because Ashutosh has been bedridden with acute back pain. The perfectionist that Ashutosh is, he supervises everything right from the background music to the dubbing and the editing. This he has not been able to do because of his illness. Hence the delay. The music of Jodha Akbar has also been delayed as UTV is releasing the music under their own banner (Their new music label). Previously the music rights were given to BIG music but due to some differences, UTV decided to release it themselves
